Slite 200W 15 Series

Description

Slite 200W 15 Series is a compact gel documentation system that comes with several user-friendly features, including easy operation, fast response when in processing, and standalone mode. This imaging system consists of a scientific CCD camera, motor driven lens, 590 nm filter, white backlight board, and a UV transilluminator.  Gels after being stained with chemifluorescence dyes, such as EtBr, Cy2, SYPRO Ruby, SYBR Green I/II, SYBR Gold, etc…can be excited by UV light and further be viewed and captured by the system.  Along with the most common use of UV light applications, Slite 200W 15 Series also carries with the most unique red, green, and blue light sources (RGB light plate)* for a wide range of applications in chemifluorescence staining related research.


Slite 200W 15 Series is designed as a standalone workstation with a single all-in-one processor embedded inside.  No external PC connection is required for further system operation.  Slite 200W 15 Series is equipped with an 8” built-in LCD touch screen that allows direct handling of image data without any difficulty.  Moreover, with the smart user’s interface and vivid icons Slite 200W 15 Series can rapidly capture gel images with high accuracy. Using Slite 200W 15 Series will provide a worry-free gel documentation experience and will save you more time in the lab for more important research.

Application

I. RGB Detection
Equipped with a RGB light plate (red, green, and blue LED lights), Slite 200W 15R is able to process a wide range of color fluorescence applications through the use of different fluorescent dyes and their optimal excitation light sources. Examples are shown below,


 

II. 2D- DIGE (2D - Difference Gel Electrophoresis) 2D gel analysis of cell lysates from cells treated with para-aspirin to monitor changes in the level of protein A (blue arrow) and protein B (yellow arrow) after various treatment durations.

Protein A (pointed by blue arrows) is shown in Image 1 but not in Image 2 and 3, suggesting that the drug suppressed the expression of protein A when treated with the aspirin in vitro.

Protein B (pointed by yellow arrows) is not shown in Image 1 but is shown in Image 2 and 3, suggesting that protein B is induced in vitro after cells were treated with the drug for 3 days, and the level of protein B in Image 2 seems to reach to the maximum level (spot in image 2 is lighter than that in Image 3) compared to that in Image 3.
